State of California Teachers Retirement System

SAP Consulting Inc. provided Project Management consulting services to CalSTRS on custom Natural/Adabase application development project. Responsible for directing the project team to develop and create new business process re-engineering (BPR) best practices for the accounting subsystems. Manage the application development team to deliver custom solutions to support the new re-engineered business process. Facilitate the development of vision, strategy, objectives, strategic plans, and recommend solutions to build a next generation Service Oriented Architecture and platform. Develop project budget, project performance, delivery of complex business solutions which follow the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and provide the State of California with substantial cost savings and a return on their investment.

State of California Board of Equalization

SAP Consulting Inc. provided senior consulting and architecture services to the State Board on their e-services initiative project. The technology was to bring their current Adabase/Natural platform into the 21st Century, utilizing J2EE and Oracle Database. Project scope was to provide direction and formulate a solution of an integrated enterprise wide e-business objective, strategic plan, overall vision, strategy, and recommendations for a 21st Century e-business architecture and platform. Provided the e-services vision, strategy and developed the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) recommendations for improvement of business process re-engineering and web enabled tools that will allow the technology to serve the BOE on their e-service initiatives. This new technology will provide the State of California with substantial cost savings and a return on their investment.

State of California Franchise Tax Board – INC Project

SAP Consulting Inc. provided senior management consulting and architecture services for a state of the art, object oriented application (J2EE) development project for a Tax Compliance System. The Integrated Non-Filer Compliance System (INC) application was developed to provide services for the compliance audit group and to taxpayers via a web portal and we were also instrumental in the development of the DB2 data warehouse and data mining tools. Interacted with all disciplines including business requirements, end customers, project management, testing, integration, training, deployment/launch, change management and configuration management.

State of California Franchise Tax Board – EDR Project

SAP Consulting Inc. provided senior management consulting and data architecture services providing strategic vision and leadership across project delivery teams for the Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR) Project). Provided oversight to delivery team Project Managers and teams with accountability for ensuring that targets are met. Oversee project financial management delivering results and ensure that contractual obligations are met. Mentored team providing best practices and provided significant knowledge transfer for the ETL and Data conversion processes to the state team members. Team excelled at driving SAP Consulting Inc values and culture throughout the organization.

California Student Aid Commission

SAP Consulting Inc. provided senior management consulting and system, business and technical architecture services for the Next Generation Grant Delivery System Modernization Project Solution (GDSM). The team provided the strategic vision, business case justification, leadership across business, technical and stakeholder project teams. The project involves over 100 stakeholders to reengineer, Organizational Change Management activities and develop modern technology platform/solutions for awarding, managing and processing over $2.1B in Student Financial Aid Awards and Grants to over 600k State of CA Students per year. Responsibilities include Analysis, Solution Development, and Solicitation for vendor to implement a scalable, comprehensive solution (CRM, BPM, BRE, ERP, CMS, Telephony, Interfaces, DW, Data Mining, BI, and Workflow integrated system). Responsible for project and program management, bid management, contract management, vendor management & organizational change management. Lead client enterprise, project/program managers and practice directors to increase the proficiency of the workforce and to assure that the engagement is successfully completed.
