Project Manager, PMP

SAP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to provide consulting management services and oversee changes in policy and procedures for a financial processing system. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing project plans and schedules, facilitating change management strategies, coordinating project communication, ensuring integration with all areas impacted by the project, and developing documentation, processes and procedures to support the project. Only qualified, State of California experienced, certified PMP candidates who meet the Minimum Technical Qualifications listed below can be considered for these positions.  

Minimum Technical Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in leading multi-faceted projects involving complex systems and multi-discipline teams.
  • 2+ years’ experience demonstrating project management involving complex systems and multi-discipline teams.
  • Current, Up-to-date Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience working with/for a California State agency.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, leadership, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT related field. 
Desired Technical Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in managing state of California projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex and technical concepts clearly to a broad range of stakeholders in a written and oral context.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, including attention to detail and ability to logically approach problems and document findings.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize material, analyze a wide variety of facts, and develop appropriate recommendations. The most successful candidates will also be able to meet most, if not all of the Desired Technical Qualifications above.

BA / PM State of California Consultant

SAP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to provide consulting management services and assist in rebuilding an existing system for government approval. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing project plans and schedules, facilitating change management strategies, coordinating project communication, ensuring integration with all areas impacted by the project, and developing documentation, processes and procedures to support the project, and assisting the Project Manager.

Only qualified Business Analyst candidates who meet the Minimum Technical Qualifications listed below can be considered for these positions.

Minimum Technical Qualifications

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree, equivalent University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work well with other contractors, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Able to deliver As-Is/To-Be Process Flows and Use Case Documentation.
  • Able to create and deliver a detailed Requirements Traceability Matrix.
  • Able to design System User Interface Wireframe.
  • The Business Analyst must have at least 5 years of proven IT experience in the following areas:
  • Gathering and documenting Business and Functional requirements.
  • Leading Joint Application Requirements (JAR) and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
  • Writing formal requirements & design documentation for IT applications.
  • The ability to understand and articulate complex Technical concepts.
  • The ability to give estimates and timelines.

Desired Technical Qualifications

  • Five (5) years' experience State of California government Information Technology (IT) Business Analyst / PM.
  • Three (3) years’ experience using requirements management industry best practices.
  • Three (3) years’ experience developing training plans and training end users of all levels.
  • Two (2) years’ experience refining solutions for requirements management methodology.
  • Two (2) years’ experience facilitating joint application design (JAD) and/or collaborative design sessions.
  • Two (2) years’ experience mentoring less experienced business analysts to develop their skills.
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with State of California government Information Technology (IT) offices.
  • IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP or CCBA).
